Amber Howard, MA, MSW, LCSW, is a seasoned psychotherapist with extensive experience in mental health treatment and case management within various social service settings. Currently employed at Walnut Psychotherapy Center since August 2022, Amber previously worked at the Therapy Center of Philadelphia and Penn Medicine's PHIICAPS program, providing intensive family treatment for children and adolescents. Amber's earlier roles include clinical social work intern at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and various positions at Project HOME, YWCA Seattle, and Downtown Emergency Service Center, focusing on advocacy, case management, and support for individuals experiencing homelessness and mental health challenges. Amber holds a Master of Social Work from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Arts in Cultural Studies from the University of Washington, and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Sociology and American Cultural Studies from Western Washington University.
