Orlando Silva is an experienced information security professional with a strong background in IT audit and management, currently serving as Information Security Director at Walmart since April 2009. Silva has held multiple roles within Walmart, leading various audit engagements across retail and eCommerce operations, and frequently collaborating with senior leadership to address risk management. Prior to Walmart, Silva worked at General Motors Corporation, conducting audits across Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. Earlier experience includes IT auditing at Brasil Telecom and infrastructure projects at Amazon Network Ltda., alongside teaching IT courses. Orlando Silva holds an MBA in Information Systems from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Universidade da Amazônia.
