Lugenia Suttles

Assistant Principal at Walker County School District

Lugenia Suttles has extensive experience in educational leadership and community engagement, currently serving as Assistant Principal and Work-Based Learning Coordinator at Walker County School District since August 1999. Suttles focuses on enhancing educational opportunities by fostering business and community partnerships, resulting in various work-based learning experiences for students. Previous roles include Career Instructor and Health/Leadership Instructor at YMCA, as well as a volleyball coordinator and teen day camp worker. Suttles also worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Rosewood Assisted Living and as a Public Health Educator at Walker County Health Department. Educational credentials include an Educational Specialist degree in Educational/Instructional Technology from Lesley University, a Master’s degree in Secondary Education from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and a Bachelor's degree in Health Teacher Education from Middle Tennessee State University, among other academic pursuits.
