Rodney Coates, M.Ed., PsyD has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in education and administration. Rodney started their career in 1997 as a Teacher and later became an Assistant Principal at the East Baton Rouge Parish School System. Rodney then served as a Human Resources Administrator at the City of Baker School System from 2007 to 2009. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as a School Administrator at the Children's Charter Elementary School and later at the Louisiana Department of Education. In 2013, they joined the East Baton Rouge Parish School System again, this time as a School Administrator and later as the Director of Special Education. In 2015, they became the Small Business Owner of Zachary Driving Academy, LLC. Rodney also founded The Chariot Group, Inc. in 2016. Additionally, they served as the Church Administrator at Gloryland Baptist Church since 2013. The precise end dates for some of these roles are unknown.

Rodney Coates, M.Ed., PsyD's education history includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business/Management from Southern University and A&M College- Baton Rouge. Rodney also holds a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from the same institution.
