Melanie Lawless York is an experienced professional in event coordination and university relations, currently serving as the Associate Director of University Events at Wake Forest University since August 2017. Melanie has progressed through various roles in university events at Wake Forest, beginning as an Event Coordinator and later as Assistant Director. Prior to this, Melanie held the position of Assistant Director of Volunteer Engagement at Wake Forest from 2012 to 2017 and worked as a University Relations Communications Coordinator at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1998 to 2003. Melanie holds a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
