Melanie Cooper, CPA, MBA, currently serves as the General Manager of Corporate Services at the Western Australian Institute of Sport since October 2023. Previous roles include CFO at Hope Community Services Ltd from June 2019 to May 2022, Operations and Finance Manager at Cox Architecture from February 2018 to June 2019, and Manager of Corporate Services at the Western Australian Association for Mental Health from June 2016 to February 2018. Melanie also held the position of Director of Corporate Services at the Australian Pharmacy Council from January 2014 to April 2016 and held various leadership roles at Waterwise from September 2005 to September 2011, including Director of Operations and Human Resource and Finance. Earlier in their career, Melanie worked as a Programme Coordinator at Water UK from 2001 to 2006. Melanie's educational background includes a Chartered Public Accountant designation from CPA Australia, a Chartered Global Management Accountant degree from CIMA, and a Master of Business Administration from the Australian Institute of Business, among other qualifications.
