Maya Szombat is a seasoned Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with extensive experience in infant mental health and prenatal care. Currently serving as an NBAS trainer at the B. Brazelton center since April 2023, Maya specializes in consultations on the Neonatal Behavioral Assessment Scale for newborns aged up to 2 months. Since June 2012, Maya has also been involved with the WAIMH, organizing clinical workshops alongside colleagues M. Couvert and A. Maya's previous roles include Child Psychiatrist positions in maternity settings at Hôpital Erasme and Clinique Edith Cavell. Academic qualifications include a Doctorate in Medicine from Université libre de Bruxelles and certifications in psychotherapeutic practices, newborn behavioral observation, and early detection of autism.
