Curtis Mills

Software Engineer at Wagonex

Curtis Mills has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Case Worker at the Cardiff Law Environmental Foundation Clinic in 2017. In this position, they worked as part of a team that provided legal advice on the dumping of nuclear sediment. Curtis then took on the role of Student Legal Advisor at WRU, where they participated in Pro Bono activities related to amateur rugby clubs in Wales.

Following that, Curtis worked at Tesco for two years, holding multiple positions within the company and gaining a holistic understanding of the industry. Curtis then moved on to Content Guru, working as a Business Development Manager, where they focused on pursuing new growth and revenue opportunities.

In 2020, Curtis became a STEM Ambassador at Cardiff University, where they introduced computer science and STEM careers to young people through workshops and support events. This role lasted until 2021.

From 2021 to 2022, they took on the role of Technical Lead and Startup Co-founder at The Alacrity Foundation UK. In 2022, Curtis became a Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Trovalo, a position they held until 2023.

Currently, Curtis is working at Wagonex as a Software Engineer, starting in 2023.

Curtis Mills attended Dylan Thomas Community School from 2009 to 2014 but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study. Curtis then enrolled at Gower College Swansea from 2014 to 2016, but again did not earn a degree or pursue a specific field of study. After that, Curtis Mills attended Cardiff University/Prifysgol Caerdydd from 2016 to 2019, earning a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in Law. Curtis continued their education at the same university from 2020 to 2023, where they pursued an MSc degree in Computing and IT Management. Curtis Mills also obtained additional certifications, including the H4MoD Alumni Badge from the Common Mission Project UK in July 2021, the Westlaw UK Basic Certification course from Thomas Reuters in October 2018, and the LexisNexis Online Research Certification from LexisNexis in November 2016.
