Johann Bonnand is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the field of agriculture and horticulture, currently serving as a Seed and Horticulture Advisor at Wageningen Centre for Development Innovation since July 2023. In conjunction with this role, Johann has worked as an Applied Researcher at Wageningen Plant Research since March 2018, focusing on international vegetable farming projects in the tropics, delivering technical and social training, managing online learning platforms, and developing agronomy-related tools and resources. Prior experience includes an internship at East-West Seed Knowledge Transfer, where research on the impact of extension services on farmers' livelihoods in Indonesia was conducted, and contributing to innovative energy-generating systems at Plant-e. Johann holds a Master’s Degree in Urban Environmental Management from Wageningen University & Research, as well as an Engineering degree in Agriculture, Food Technology, and Environmental Sciences from Institut supérieur d'Agriculture et d'Agro-alimentaire Rhône-Alpes.
