Nils van Rooijen is a research professional with extensive experience in ecology and biodiversity. Currently serving as a researcher at Wageningen Environmental Research since October 2018, Nils focuses on big data analyses related to plant biodiversity, ecosystem functioning, and ecoinformatics. Nils also leads the "Zorgen voor de Natuur van Morgen | Het Levend Archief" project, aiming to safeguard endangered plant species in the Netherlands and establish a national seed repository. In addition to various roles such as Secretary with the Royal Botanical Society of The Netherlands and the National Plant Collection Foundation, Nils has previously contributed as a postdoctoral researcher at Radboud University Nijmegen and as a PhD student at KU Leuven. Nils holds a PhD in Ecology from both KU Leuven and Radboud University, as well as an MSc in Biology from Radboud University.
