Melody Snoddy has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Melody started their career in 1984 at Miller and Rhoads Department Stores, where they held various roles such as Buyer, Assistant Buyer, and Dept. Manager until 1989. In 1990, they worked as an Assistant Buyer at Hecht's Department Stores for a year before joining NCC Industries (Lilyette) as a Sales Account Manager in 1991. Melody continued their sales career at Maidenform from 1998 to 2013, initially as a Sales Account Manager and later moving up to become a Sales Account Manager at Hanesbrands Inc. from 2013 to 2017. In 2017, they briefly worked as a Retail Sales Specialist at Confetti Clothing. The following year, they became a Floral & Event Design Assistant at Bells & Whistles at The Flower Fields until the end of 2018. Currently, they are a Sales Assistant at Wacoal America, a position they have held since April 2019.

Melody Snoddy attended Peace College from 1979 to 1981, where they earned an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Clothing and Textiles, with a minor in Business Administration at East Carolina University from 1981 to 1983.
