Richard Valentin has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Starting as a sales representative at b&w telefonmarketing in 1999, they progressed to internal sales representative at DKV Euro Service in 2001. Richard then moved on to roles in procurement at Profi GmbH, internship at Europa-Fachpresse-Verlag GmbH & Co, and finally head of product intelligence & training at ERS Euroroute Service C.V. In 2010, they became head of central services & corporate development at REMOBIS REFUND SERVICE C.V. and took on roles at EUROWAG as managing director of Reamon Tax, a.s., vice president tax refund, and senior vice president business operations. Currently, they are the managing director at Tax Refund Consulting.

Richard Valentin completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Liverpool from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) in Language Interpretation and Translation from Univerzita Komenského v Bratislave from 1995 to 1998, followed by another MA in Humanities/Humanistic Studies from the same university from 1993 to 1998. In addition to their academic achievements, Richard holds several certifications including Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Money laundering prevention officer, Project Management (PMI), Money laundering prevention, Prince2 Registered Practitioner, Prince2 Foundation Certificate, and NLP Practitioner.
