Anne Mariët currently serves as a Docent Criminologie at Universiteit Utrecht since January 2021. Prior to this role, Anne Mariët held various positions at the Nederlandse Voedsel- en Warenautoriteit (NVWA) from September 2015 to December 2020, including Senior onderzoeker / adviseur Inlichtingen- en Opsporingsdienst, Acquisiteur Intelligence / Senior inspecteur IOD, and Tactisch rechercheur Inlichtingen- en Opsporingsdienst. Earlier experience includes working as a Medewerker ontbijt- & lunchzaak at HOOI and as an Orthopedagoog/Studiecoach at Max Studiepartner BV. Anne Mariët completed internships focused on forensic diagnostics at Ambulatorium OGH Zetten. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Global Criminology and a Master of Science in Forensische Orthopedagogiek, both from Utrecht University, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogische Wetenschappen, Orthopedagogiek from the same institution. Additional educational pursuits include participation in programs at VersPers and Slow Food Youth Network Nederland.
