Senior Software Engineer at Vuzix

Connor Hack has a strong background in software engineering with a focus on wearable technology. Connor started their career at Vuzix Corporation in 2014 as a Programmer Analyst for Web/Mobile Development. In this role, Connor gained experience in web and mobile development.

In 2015, Connor was promoted to a Wearable Android Platform Developer at Vuzix. Connor was responsible for developing a stable software abstraction of Vuzix's platform's position and orientation resources. Connor conducted extensive research on inertial sensors, filters, and sensor fusion to broaden the company's scope of possible solutions for localization.

In 2016, Connor became a Software Engineer at Vuzix and played a major role in developing Vuzix's smart glasses external connectivity architecture. Connor used Java's Reflection API over the Android platform framework to enable Vuzix's smart glasses to handle custom JSON messages sent over TCP/IP and Bluetooth. Additionally, Connor collaborated with GoPro to pioneer the GoPro Developer Program.

Continuing their career at Vuzix, Connor was promoted to a Senior Software Engineer in 2017. As a senior member of the team, they led the development of a complex notification system for the Blade smart glasses. Connor also designed touchpad algorithms for multi-finger gestures and integrated haptic feedback motors into Android layers.

Throughout their career, Connor has proven to be a skilled software engineer with a focus on wearable technology. Connor has demonstrated strong problem-solving abilities and accumulated patent filings along the way.

Connor Hack attended Rochester Institute of Technology from 2012 to 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science Engineering degree in Computer Software Engineering.
