Adam Martin

Systems Engineer II End User Services at Vulcan

Adam Martin has extensive work experience in the IT field. Adam began their career as a Computer Technician at Circuit City, where they diagnosed and repaired computer issues. Adam then worked as a Mobile DJ and Technical Support specialist at Events with Integrity, providing DJ services for weddings while also repairing iPods and computers used for events.

Adam later joined Tribune Broadcasting as a Broadcast Maintenance Engineer Assistant and IT Support Technician, where they installed and fixed broadcast equipment, performed troubleshooting on PC and Mac computers, and oversaw network implementation projects.

After that, Adam started their own electronics repair company called iMod iPod Repair, where they repaired various electronic devices such as iPods, iPhones, smartphones, laptops, and GPS units.

Adam then worked as an Owner and Operator of Amplified By Excellence, providing mobile DJ services for weddings and events in the Pacific Northwest.

Adam's career in IT continued at Nordstrom, where they served as an IT Help Desk Analyst and Client Technology Support Field Technician. Adam provided technical support to corporate and store employees, with a focus on supporting the Photo Studio and Design teams with their Mac computers.

Following their time at Nordstrom, Adam joined Time Warner Inc. as a Primary Desktop Technician, supporting end users within the HBO Digital Products office in Seattle. Adam also became an Apple Certified Macintosh Technician.

Adam then transitioned to HBO as a Desktop Engineer, responsible for managing and administering the end-user compute environment. Adam designed and implemented software package delivery processes, optimized system images, and performed audits to improve security, reliability, compliance, and performance.

Currently, Adam is working at Vulcan LLC as a Systems Engineer II (End User Services). Their responsibilities include managing the macOS platform, PC environment, and mobile device platform for all end users at Vulcan.

Outside of their IT career, Adam briefly worked at Wize Guys Entertainment as a Mobile Wedding DJ.

Adam Martin obtained their high school diploma in Computer Engineering Technology/Technician from Decatur High School, where they attended from 2002 to 2005. After that, they pursued an Associate's degree in Broadcast Communications Technology at Bates Technical College from 2005 to 2007. Additionally, Adam has obtained several certifications including "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences" from LinkedIn in January 2021, "ACMT (Apple Certified Macintosh Technician)" from Apple in May 2014, and "CompTIA A+ce" from CompTIA in March 2014.
