Doug Huston has a diverse range of work experience, primarily in the fields of robotics and project management. Doug has held various roles in different companies, including VulcanForms Inc. as a Senior Mechatronics Engineer, where they are currently employed. Doug has also served as a Committee Member for robot safety committees at ANSI/RIA R15.08 Industrial Mobile Robots and ANSI/RIA R15.06 Robot Safety Committee.

At Veo Robotics, Inc., Doug worked as a Principle Robotics Engineer and a Senior Application Design Engineer, contributing to the design of workcells with 3D vision systems and developing product requirements for easy integration. Prior to that, they worked at General Grind & Machine, where they held roles as a Lean Project Manager and a Technical Project Manager, overseeing the implementation of Lean Manufacturing programs and managing a 4 million dollar robotics project.

Before joining General Grind & Machine, Doug worked at Genesis Systems as an Automotive/Industrial Project Manager, successfully managing concurrent projects and coordinating activities across various departments. Doug also had a previous stint at Genesis Systems as an Automation Engineer, securing contracts and managing the installation of machine tools.

Doug's earlier experience includes roles as an Aerospace/Industrial Project Manager at Genesis Systems Group, where they demonstrated project management expertise and delivered multi-million dollar projects on time and to customer satisfaction. Doug also worked as a Technical Advisor, Process Engineer R and D, Advanced Technology Specialist, Application Engineer, and Build Technician, gaining experience in documentation, equipment selection, process development, robotic vision systems, and mechanical assembly.

Before transitioning into the robotics industry, Doug served as a Crew Manager at Eastern Iowa Landscape, where they led multiple crews and managed various landscaping projects.

Overall, Doug has a strong background in robotics, project management, and engineering, with extensive experience in safety standards, workcell design, Lean Manufacturing, and delivering successful projects within budget and schedule constraints.

Doug Huston attended Muscatine Community College from 2001 to 2003, where they earned an Associates degree in Horticulture. In addition to their formal education, Doug has obtained several certifications. These include "Guy Kawasaki on Tuning Life Wisdom into Business Success" from LinkedIn, as well as certifications in Certified Robotic Arc Welding - Technician from the American Welding Society and Certified Vision Professional CVP from A3 Robotics.
