Mihai Butu has worked in a variety of roles in the IT security sector since 2006. Mihai began their career as an IT Security Officer at the Romanian Intelligence Service, then moved to Provision Software Division in 2008, where they held roles as Territory Manager for Bulgaria & Moldova, Technology Manager, and Presales Consultant. In 2011, they took on the role of Territory Sales Manager SEEUR at Trend Micro, then moved to Vodafone Group in 2012, where they held three roles as Group Product Manager, Cloud for SMB & Professionals, Group Product Manager, Google Apps (Cloud & Collaboration Applications), and Product Manager, Cloud Services and Applications. In 2017, they became Product Manager SPE at Snow Software, then moved to Vodafone in 2018 as Global Partner Manager, Cloud & Security. In 2019, they became EMEA Channel Manager at RiskIQ, followed by Business Strategy Manager at Microsoft in 2021, and their current role as EMEA Channel Manager at Vulcan Cyber since 2022.

Mihai Butu's education history includes completing a CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing from Oxford College of Marketing in 2018, completing coursework for a Master Program of Informatics Security from Economical Studies Academy in 2010, earning a BACHELOR OF ECONOMICS from Romanian-American University in 2005, completing their studies at High School in 2000, and completing their studies at Primary School. Mihai has also obtained various certifications from institutions such as AVADO, LinkedIn, VMware, Trend Micro, RSA, McAfee, Guidance Software, ArcSight, Qualys, and Microsoft.
