Carolyn Gonot is an accomplished civil engineer with extensive experience in the public transportation sector. Currently serving as the CEO/General Manager at VTA since July 2021, Carolyn previously held the position of Executive Director at the Utah Transit Authority from August 2019 to July 2021. Carolyn’s career at VTA began in July 1996, progressing through various leadership roles including Chief Engineering & Program Delivery Officer, Chief BART Silicon Valley Program Officer, Chief Development Officer, Deputy Director of Congestion Management Planning, and Congestion Management Planning Program Manager. Carolyn Gonot holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Penn State University.
