Joe Cortese has extensive work experience in the engineering industry. Joe is currently working as the Chief Engineer at VSP Vision Care since July 2018. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Mechanical Engineer at Stanton Engineering since February 2015. Joe also worked as the Design Division Manager at Mark III Construction, Inc. from November 2014 to January 2015. Joe served as the Vice President - Energy Engineer at Cenergistic from November 2013 to September 2014. Before that, they worked as the Chief Engineer at Indoor Environmental Services from February 2005 to April 2013. Joe's experience also includes working as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Interface Engineering Inc. from May 2003 to February 2005. Joe worked at Cal-Air from July 2000 to November 2002 and at Building Systems Management as the Vice-President Engineering from April 1994 to July 2000.

Joe Cortese obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from California State University-Sacramento in the years 2000 to 2003. Joe also holds several additional certifications including LEED 2.0 Accredited Professional, Certified Energy Manager, Professional Engineer in Mechanical Engineering, Certified in Plumbing Engineering, and HVAC-R Applications.
