Kevin Amaral is a Java Backend Developer at Voyant since February 2024, formerly serving as a Quantitative Developer at Teza Technologies from May 2020 to October 2023, where responsibilities included developing automated package releases for trading systems and supporting research teams with trading platform development. Kevin's early career includes roles as a Graduate Student Research Assistant, Undergraduate Research Assistant, and UNIX Lab Operator at the University of Massachusetts Boston from January 2010 to May 2020, as well as a Research Intern in the REU Program at the University of Houston-Downtown in summer 2013. Kevin holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science, a Master’s degree in Computer Science, a Database Technology Certificate, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, all from UMass Boston, alongside a High School Diploma from Somerville High School.
