Lanzhen Wang has held various roles in the software engineering and arts industries. Starting in 2011, Wang worked as a Curatorial Intern at the Photography Department of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. In 2012, Wang worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Rice University Art Theirtory Department and a Curatorial Intern for the Asia Society Texas Center. In 2014, Wang held the role of Curatorial Intern at the Asian Art Department of the Brooklyn Museum. In 2015, Wang worked as a Research Analyst for AEA Consulting. From 2016 to 2019, Wang worked as a Graduate Research Intern for the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. From 2019 to 2021, Wang held the role of Software Engineer for Tachyus. In 2021, Wang also worked as a Software Engineer for DataSeer. Currently, Wang is a Software Engineer for Voxel51.
Lanzhen Wang earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Theirtory with Honor and Economics from Rice University in 2013. Lanzhen then went on to pursue a Master of Decorative Art degree in Design Theirtory and Material Culture from Bard Graduate Center: Decorative Arts, Design Theirtory, Material Culture, which they completed in 2015. During their studies at Bard Graduate Center, they also obtained a German Language Exam in June 2014. In addition, they took Consortium Courses in Art Theirtory, Criticism and Conservation at Columbia University from 2014 to 2015. Before attending Rice University, Wang obtained a Japanese-Language Proficiency Test - N2 from The Japan Foundation in July 2010. More recently, they have obtained certifications in Google Cloud Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure from Coursera in September 2022, and Object-Oriented Data Structures in C++ from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Coursera in September 2020.
