Michael Martis is a skilled full stack engineer currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Vow since February 2024, focusing on software platform development. Previously, Michael held the position of Senior Software Engineer at Google from June 2015 to May 2023, specializing in AI applications such as automatic image captioning for visually-impaired users, and machine learning infrastructure. Michael also contributed as a Research Assistant at the UWA Centre for Exploration Targeting, working on the Integrated Exploration Platform, and served as a Mathematics Tutor at The University of Western Australia. Michael's early experience includes an Engineering Intern role at Google, developing a classifier system for social media entity identification. Michael holds an Honours degree in Pure Mathematics and a Bachelor degree in Computer and Mathematical Science from The University of Western Australia, completed in 2014.
