Sophie McNaught has a diverse work experience. Sophie started their career as a Legal Advocate at Redfern Legal Centre, providing pro bono legal representation to public housing tenants. Sophie then worked as a Corporate Attorney at King & Wood Mallesons before joining Coutts as a Manager for Post-acquisition Integration. Sophie then transitioned to Silicon Valley Bank, where they held various roles including Senior Payments Strategist, Vice President of Corporate Ventures, and Director of Corporate and Venture Relationships. Their responsibilities at Silicon Valley Bank included advising founders on selling to Fortune 500 corporates, fundraising, and forming partnerships with corporates and fintechs. Sophie's most recent role is as the Director of AI and Enterprise Vertical Lead at Vouch Insurance.

Sophie McNaught holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with an accounting major from Bond University. Sophie also has a Bachelor of Laws degree, which is the Australian equivalent of a Juris Doctor, from the same university. Prior to their university education, Sophie completed their VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education) at Methodist Ladies' College in Melbourne. Additionally, they are admitted to the New South Wales Supreme Court and the High Court of Australia, as certified by The Law Society of NSW.
