Yaashna Makhija has a diverse work experience starting with their current role as an Associate Scientist II in Process and Analytical Development at Vor Bio. Prior to this, they worked as a Graduate Student at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where they focused on studying the effects of SATB2 mutation on craniofacial development in mice. Yaashna'sresponsibilities included performing PCR and gel electrophoresis, as well as preparing and staining mouse embryos.

Yaashna also gained experience as a Summer Intern in the Department of Microbiology at VIKRAM HOSPITAL PRIVATE LIMITED. In this position, they performed various tests such as Anti-microbial Susceptibility Test, Widal Test, and Gram staining. Yaashna also had exposure to endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures.
