Riccardo Biavasco has had a progressive work experience in the field of immunology and gene therapy. Riccardo started their career as a Postdoctoral Researcher at San Raffaele Telethon Institute For Gene Therapy (SR-TIGET) from July 2018 to October 2019. Riccardo then joined bluebird bio as a Scientist I from November 2019 to February 2021, then as a Scientist II from February 2021 to November 2021, and finally as a Senior Scientist from November 2021 to September 2022. Following that, they worked as a Senior Scientist at Beam Therapeutics from September 2022 to March 2023. Riccardo is currently working as a Principal Scientist at Vor Bio since March 2023. In their role as a Theoretical Immunologist between 2016 and the present, they proposed the theory of Immunodominance Relativity, analyzing the relative positioning of dominant B and T cell epitopes in published antigens.

Riccardo Biavasco holds a Bachelor's degree in Medical Biotechnologies, which they obtained from Libera Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele in 2011. Riccardo further pursued their education at the same institution and completed a Master's degree in Medical Biotechnologies from 2011 to 2013. Riccardo continued their academic journey and obtained a PhD in Hematology from Libera Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele between 2014 and 2018.
