Felipe Mata is a seasoned professional in the gaming industry, currently serving as the General Manager at Voodoo since September 2024, where leadership focuses on a transformative match-3 game project. Previously, Felipe held multiple roles at FunPlus, including Head of Studio, overseeing the development of mobile casual games in Barcelona, and had significant contributions at Naavik as Vice President of Product and Director of Central Product Management. At ZeptoLab, Felipe was the Head of New Games, and during their tenure at King, Felipe advanced through various positions, culminating as Senior Producer for the Candy Crush franchise. Felipe began a research career at IMDEA Mathematics, preceded by experience in telecommunications engineering at Iberdrola. Felipe Mata holds an MBA and multiple degrees from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, including a Ph.D. in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications, and is a Certified Scrum Product Owner.
