Thomas Fleischer is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategic research relations and regulatory affairs within the automotive industry. Currently serving as Director of Strategic Research Relations and Director of the R&D Business Office at Volvo Cars since February 2019, Thomas focuses on business development and research collaboration. Prior roles include Director and Head of Regulatory Affairs, and Director of Government Affairs for Lynk & Co from August 2017 to October 2020, where Thomas contributed to launching a new car brand focused on electrified and connected vehicles. Thomas' career at Volvo Car Corporation spanned from July 2000 to July 2017 as a Senior Expert in innovation management. Earlier positions included senior government affairs roles in Scandinavia and Brussels, as well as legal positions in various institutions. Thomas holds a Master's degree in Laws from the University of Lund and a High School Diploma from Göteborgs Högre Samskola.
