Johan Engebratt serves as the Vice President of Powertrain Strategic Development at Volvo Group Trucks Technology since March 2017, overseeing a team dedicated to exploring sustainable propulsion solutions, including hydrogen technologies. Prior roles at Volvo include Vice President of Powertrain Advanced Engineering, Director of Energy Conversion & Physics, and Acting VP for Heavy Duty Powertrain Range, where Johan led key product evolution and maintenance initiatives. With a career starting at Volvo Car Corporation as a Project Manager for chassis development, Johan has managed significant projects and portfolios across various divisions within Volvo, supported by a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Luleå University of Technology.
