Kristian Crona

Director Large & Heavy Product Platform Articulated Haulers, Technology Organisation at Volvo Construction Equipment

Kristian Crona has extensive work experience in the construction equipment industry. Kristian started their career in 1992 at Urshults Werkstads AB "UWAB" where they held various roles such as project leader, design engineer, production engineer, quality engineer, and tooling engineer until 1999. In 2000, they joined Volvo Construction Equipment as a Design Engineer/Project Leader for Special Vehicles. From 2002 to 2011, Kristian served as the Chief Project Manager, leading cross-functional project teams and reporting to the steering committee and executive management. Kristian then transitioned to the role of Manager Hauler Product Improvement, Product Platform from 2011 to 2016. In 2016, they became the Manager Large Platform Articulated Haulers before taking on their current position as the Director Large & Heavy Product Platform Articulated Haulers in the Technology organization since February 2017.

Kristian Crona obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Product Development from the University of Växjö between 1988 and 1990. In 1991 and 1992, they pursued a practical training program in construction at Knight Industriteknik AB. Prior to that, from 1990 to 1991, they attended Gota Engineer Regiment Ing 2 in a group leader role. Additionally, they had previous education at Teknikum Växjö from 1985 to 1988, although no degree or field of study information was provided for this period.
