Gillian Garner is an experienced professional in the not-for-profit and development sectors, currently serving as a Business and Policy Officer and Advocacy Lead at Volunteering Victoria since October 2019. Garner has a diverse background, having worked as a consultant for various organizations since June 2018 and previously as Executive Officer at Liberty Victoria from January 2012 to May 2018. Early career experiences include roles as Project Coordinator at Palladium, Development Law Consultant, and in-house legal counsel at the Development Bank of Southern Africa and Ithala Development Finance Corporation. Garner holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, as well as post-graduate qualifications in International Development and Governance for Not-for-Profits.
