Bryce Mecum's work experience includes roles at several companies and organizations. In 2012, they joined the Yukon River Chinook Chinook Run Timing Project as Project Lead, and in the same year, they also began working as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. In 2015, Bryce became a Science Software Engineer at the National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis (NCEAS), where they worked until 2022. In 2022, they joined Voltron Data as an Open Source Support Engineer. Overall, Bryce has gained experience in project leadership, research, and software engineering throughout their career.
Bryce Mecum completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Fisheries from the University of Alaska Fairbanks from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Marine Biology at Western Washington University from 2007 to 2009.
