Java Software Engineer at Volt.io – real-time payments everywhere at Volt

Michał Grandys has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Michał started their career as a Junior Java Developer at Comarch, where they created a framework for test automation. After that, they worked as a Java Developer at softsystems.pl, developing customer systems for public administration. Michał then joined CERN as a Java Software Engineer before moving to ICOMPASS, where they worked as a Senior Java Software Engineer and Team Lead. During this time, they contributed to projects such as Paymax, a mobile point of sale solution. Following their tenure at ICOMPASS, Michał joined Neontri as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed a backend system for offloading traffic for a financial institution. In addition, they created a test framework with continuous integration (CI) pipeline using technologies like Cassandra and GitlabCI. Michał'smost recent role was as a Java/Scala Software Engineer at SoftwareMill, where they worked on the startup TuPrawnik. Here, they provided support, implemented new requirements, and managed the full project lifecycle. Currently, they are working as a Java Software Engineer at Volt.io, specializing in real-time payments.

Michał Grandys completed their Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology from Lodz University of Technology in the period between 2009 and 2013. Michał then pursued an Engineer's Degree in Computer Science from the same university from 2012 to 2016. Michał furthered their education by obtaining a Master's degree in Computer Science from Warsaw University of Technology, which they completed from 2017 to 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Michał also obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In 2014, they acquired the "M101J: MongoDB for Java Developers" certification from MongoDB University. In 2015, they completed the "M102: MongoDB for DBAs" certification from the same institution. In 2018, Michał gained proficiency in various areas through Coursera, obtaining certifications in "Lean Software Development," "Neural Networks and Deep Learning," "Structuring Machine Learning Projects," and "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization, and Optimization." Michał continued to develop their expertise with certifications in "Effective Programming in Scala" from Coursera in 2021, and in 2022, they acquired the "Apache Cassandra 3 Developer Associate Certification" from DataStax and the "Free RabbitMQ Training Course - by CloudAMQP" certification from CloudAMQP.
