James Wilcox has a comprehensive work experience in the field of site reliability and infrastructure automation engineering. James started their career at Wellington College as an IT Support Administrator, where they handled various tasks such as system upgrading and project management. In 2012, they joined Fronde as a Cloud Solutions Engineer, focusing on building and supporting environments in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and migrating on-premises setups to AWS. In 2014, they moved to Xero, where they worked as an Infrastructure Automation Engineer until 2018. Currently, James is working at Volpara Health, where they started as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer and later became the Principal Site Reliability Engineer.
James Wilcox attended the Wellington Institute of Technology from 2008 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology. James also obtained additional certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS), including the Amazon Web Services Certified SysOps Administrator (Associate) in 2014 and the Amazon Web Services Certified Solution Architect (Associate) in 2013.
