Jan Ondřej has a diverse work experience starting in 2005 as a Software Developer consultant at UPEK. 💡Jan then worked as a Research Engineer at Czech Technical University in Prague from 2007 to 2008. Jan began their Ph.D. at IRISA/INRIA Rennes in 2008, conducting research on collision avoidance methods for autonomous virtual humans. During their Ph.D., they also worked as an Engineer at IRISA/INRIA Rennes for a brief period in 2011. Jan joined Trinity College Dublin in 2011 as a Research Fellow, where they researched crowd behavior simulation and authoring interfaces. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at Disney Research, focusing on crowd simulation and validation methods. 💡Jan also worked as a Consultant at Disney Research in 2014. In 2016, Jan returned to Trinity College Dublin as a Senior Research Fellow, working on the V-SENSE project and teaching computer animation courses. In 2018, they co-founded Volograms and took on the role of Co-Founder & CTO. Currently, Jan is an Adjunct Teaching Fellow at Trinity College Dublin since 2022.
Jan Ondřej completed their education in the field of Computer Science and Engineering. From 2001 to 2007, they attended the Czech Technical University in Prague, where they earned an Ing. (MSc) degree. Afterward, from 2008 to 2011, Jan pursued further studies at INSA Rennes, where they completed their Ph.D. in Computer Science.
