Alex Shaw is an experienced Project Commercial Manager and Senior Quantity Surveyor currently employed at VolkerRail Ltd since October 2019, following a successful tenure at Aggregate Industries from January 2011 to October 2019 as a Quantity Surveyor. In this role, Alex was responsible for cost control of surfacing and civil engineering projects in the North East, engaging in negotiations with clients and subcontractors, as well as managing the agreement of final accounts. Alex holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Quantity Surveying and Construction Commercial Management from Nottingham Trent University and an HNC in Civil Engineering with Distinction from Chesterfield College.
