Steven Walker has over 30 years of work experience in various roles related to quality assurance and testing. Steven is currently working as an Advisory QA Engineer at Volant Partners, Inc since 2022. In their previous role, they served as the Executive Director at BrickCon LLC starting from 2008.

Prior to that, Steven worked as an Advisory QA Engineer and Senior QA Engineer at Base2 Solutions from 2014 to 2022. Steven was responsible for writing and executing manual and scripted tests for regulated aviation software. Steven also created virtual test environments and utilized automation tools like Python and Robot Framework. Steven acted as the QA team lead and managed tasks, obstacles, and progress reporting for parallel projects.

From 2011 to 2014, they worked at Hitachi Data Systems as a QA Architect, where they served as the QA lead and product owner for a new software project. Steven defined testing guidelines, mentored team members, managed hardware resources, and wrote product specifications.

Steven also worked at Hewlett-Packard as a Senior QA Engineer from 2007 to 2011, where they led a team of test engineers and worked on testing HP Server Automation software using Agile development methods.

Steven has previous experience as a Quality Assurance Manager at Overland Storage, where they developed and ran performance tests and implemented new test case management tools. Steven also ensured timely release of products by working on weekends.

Steven has also worked at VERITAS Software as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, where they performed system integration tests for the VERITAS SAN Point Control product and led the test effort during the acquisition by Symantec.

Earlier in their career, they worked at IBM as a Test Lead, leading the test team in developing test cases and setting up the test lab. Steven also worked at Sequent Computer Systems as a World Wide Tech Support Service Engineer, providing support to call centers and conducting training sessions.

Steven'sfirst job was at Intel as a System Programmer, where they were responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining Windows NT Server infrastructures and writing support programs with Visual Basic and Perl.

Overall, Steven Walker has a strong background in quality assurance and testing, with extensive experience in leadership roles and various industries.

Steven Walker received their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Oregon State University, where they studied from 1987 to 1992. In addition to their degree, they obtained a certification in CTFL (Certified Tester Foundation Level) from ASTQB (American Society for Testing and Quality Assurance) in September 2010.
