Senior C++ Engineer at Voicemod

Carmelo Garcia Guerola has a diverse work experience in the field of software development. Carmelo is currently working as a Senior C++ Engineer at Voicemod, where they are involved in multi-platform desktop application development and backend services with C++. Carmelo also implements UTs with GTest. Prior to this, they worked at Flywire as a Software Engineer, focusing on backend applications development with Java+Spring and Ruby, as well as frontend gateway plugins with ReactJS. Carmelo also handled CI/CD with GitLab pipelines and Docker on AWS.

Before Flywire, Carmelo worked at HP as a Senior Firmware R&D Engineer, where they developed firmware for 3D printing systems and served as a technical lead and scrum master for the Processing Station team. Carmelo designed and implemented user workflows using C++ and Python. Carmelo also worked at Capgemini as a Software Architect, specializing in batch software team leadership and the design and implementation of high-level C++ and Java&Spring frameworks.

Earlier in their career, Carmelo worked at Balmart Sistemas Electrónicos y de Comunicaciones S.L. as an IT Manager, responsible for software development at all stages and IT management. Carmelo also worked as a Senior Software Developer, serving as a team leader and working on Windows desktop applications using C# and Visual Studio. Carmelo was an expert in Linux daemons, TCP/IP proprietary servers, and SOAP services using C++. Carmelo began their career as a Junior Software Developer at Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, where they gained experience in firmware development, web application design and implementation, and Windows desktop application development.

Carmelo Garcia Guerola completed their education at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) from 1998 to 2006, where they obtained a degree in Telecommunications Engineering with a focus on Electronics.

Aside from their formal education, Carmelo has also earned various certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge.
