Van Magpantay has worked in various roles since 2007. Van began their career as a Customer Interaction Associate at TELUS International Philippines in 2007. In 2012, they moved to Assurant BPO Solutions as an Account Lead. In 2013, they held two concurrent positions, as a Sales Executive at Vocus and a Research Analyst at Salesify.

Van Magpantay obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA between 2000 and 2004.
