Fred Wilkins has held a variety of positions in the medical and technology industries. In 1993, they began their career as a Paramedic for North Memorial Health Care. In 1995, they moved to Big House Productions as an Associate Television Producer. In 1996, they became Vice President and Co-Founder of Learning Information for Emergencies, Inc., where they were responsible for course development and business recruitment. In 1999, Wilkins became Communications Director for MedCare EMS. In 2002, they took the same role at GoldStar EMS, where they managed all communications centers and CAD administrator. In 2005, they became a Consultant for Paramount EMS Consulting Group, where they managed National Disaster Response Teams, acted as an Operations and Compliance Consultant for EMS agencies, and implemented Alternative Fuel for ambulances programs. From 2006-2013, Wilkins held various positions, including EMS Administrator for Matagorda County EMS, Member Board of Directors for Southeast Texas Regional Advisory Council, and Company Owner for Vehicle Transport and Cargo Haulers, LLC. In 2013, they joined VLI Tech as Business Partner, eventually becoming CEO and VP of National Sales Director.
Fred Wilkins attended Texas State Technical College Harlingen from 1990 to 1991, where they earned a degree in Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT Paramedic). In 1989, they obtained a Paramedic certification from the State of Texas. In 1992, they obtained an ACLS Instructor and PALS Instructor certification from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association. In 2011, they obtained an EMS Instructor certification from the National Association of EMS Educators.
