Annelies Claeys has extensive work experience in the field of business and innovation in executive education. Annelies currently holds the position of Head of new business & innovation open executive education at Vlerick Business School, where they explore and grows new business opportunities. Annelies is responsible for developing new open executive education products and services and implementing a new product development process. In addition, they focus on innovative strategic projects at both the business unit and organizational levels. Prior to their current role, Annelies worked as a Product Manager at Vlerick Business School, where they managed the development, marketing, sales, and delivery of senior executive programs. Annelies also played a key role in strategic project management, growth of the online program portfolio, and building strategic partnerships. Moreover, they served as a Presentation Coach, supporting individuals in delivering impactful stories. Before joining Vlerick Business School, Annelies worked as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte. Annelies also gained experience at Vlerick Business School as a Product Manager and Programme Coordinator, where they coordinated various open and company-specific programs. Annelies started their professional journey as an intern at STC-Group, where they conducted market research on a Hydrography course.

Annelies Claeys has a diverse education history. In 2007, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Primary Education from Katholieke Hogeschool Zuid-West-Vlaanderen. Annelies then pursued further studies and completed a Master's degree in Educational Science from Ghent University in 2010.

In 2014, Annelies Claeys attended the School voor presentatiecoaching for a course in presentation coaching. The same year, they also enrolled in Vlerick Business School, where they studied Product Management.

Their pursuit of education continued in 2016 when they attended the London Business School for a program in leading teams for emerging leaders. Annelies Claeys also obtained a certification in leadership communication with impact from INSEAD Executive Education in 2019.

Annelies continued their professional development in 2021 by attending Vlerick Business School for courses in essentials in marketing and leading innovation. In 2022, they further enhanced their skills by completing programs in essentials in sales skills from Vlerick Business School and developing Agile Innovation capabilities from Aalto University Executive Education and Professional Development.

Their ongoing commitment to learning is evident as they have planned to attend the Nexxworks Never Normal Masterclass in 2023.
