Thomas Jusselme has over 15 years of professional experience in the building industry. Thomas began their career in 2003 as a Responsable Projet at CTBA, where they were responsible for eco-conception for the wood industry in construction and wrote a guide for eco-conception for the wood construction industry. In 2004, they became a Chef Projet at Eurasia and a Chargé d'étude at ADEME, where they conducted technical and economic studies of 12 HQE operations in Rhône-Alpes. From 2006 to 2015, they were Co-Founder and Managing Director at MILIEU_STUDIO, Co-Founder and CTO at exndo architectures, and Co-Founder & Co-CEO at Vizcab, a startup developing digital solutions to decarbonize the building industry. In 2008, they became a Maître Assistant Associé STA at Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Grenoble, where they taught Building Physics, Low-Carbon and Low-Energy Building Design. From 2014 to 2019, they were a Research Associate at Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne and a Maître Assistant Associé STA at ENSAL. In 2019, they became a Professor of Energy Efficient Buildings at HES-SO Haute école spécialisée de Suisse occidentale, where they taught and conducted research in LCA data-driven low carbon building design and was a member of the Energy Institute.
Thomas Jusselme has a diverse educational background. From 2015 to 2020, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Architecture and Sciences of the City from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne). From 2002 to 2003, they earned a Master's degree in Design Industriel et Conception de Produit from Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC). Finally, from 1999 to 2002, they obtained an Ingénieur Maître Ig2e in Génie de l'environnement et éco-développement from Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1.
