Mike Slavin is an experienced engineering and project management professional with a strong background in medical device development. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Vixiar Medical since May 2017, Mike leads the technical efforts for the Indicor(TM) medical device designed to noninvasively estimate left ventricle-end diastolic pressure (LVEDP). Additionally, Mike works as a Project Manager-Consultant at Paines Creek LLC, focusing on product development studies and business modeling. Previously, Mike held project management roles at Vapotherm, specializing in home care medical device products, and served as a Program Manager at Paratek Microwave, Inc., overseeing sensor network communication product development. Mike also has a background as a Team Leader at the Army Research Laboratory. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Marketing and Operations from Boston College, along with dual master's and bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University.
