Lauren Nilles has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Lauren is currently serving as the Senior Vice President of People at Vivvi, where they have been instrumental in expanding the team and implementing various organizational systems to support the growth of early childhood educators. Prior to this, Lauren worked as the Head of People at Vivvi, where they played a key role in building the HR infrastructure and establishing talent acquisition strategies, retention efforts, and culture initiatives.
Before joining Vivvi, Lauren served as the Head of People & Culture at Eight Sleep, where they successfully grew the team and implemented HR infrastructure, including talent acquisition strategies, retention efforts, and compliance measures. Additionally, they led the creation and rollout of core values and played a significant role in establishing parental leave policies and other company-wide policies.
Lauren also gained experience at Robin Hood as a Program Officer, Achievement First as Director of Outreach, and Venture for America in various talent management roles, including Director of Talent, Senior Talent Manager, and Talent Acquisition and Retention Manager.
Furthermore, earlier in their career, Lauren worked as a 6th-grade science teacher at DC Public Schools, where they excelled in curriculum development and student achievement. Lauren also served as a Corps Member for Teach for America and gained experience in event planning as a Special Events Intern at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay. Additionally, they interned as an Early Intervention Intern at The Home for Little Wanderers.
Lauren Nilles received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Lehigh University, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum and Instruction at George Mason University from 2010 to 2012. Additionally, in 2009, they briefly attended the Centro Norteamericano de Estudios Internacionales, although it is unclear whether they obtained a degree or pursued a specific field of study at that institution.
