Rita Lukacs has a diverse work experience starting from 1999. Rita began their career as a Research Assistant at UCLA, where they worked on various research projects related to spinal cord injury. Rita then continued their studies and became a PhD Candidate at UCLA, focusing on the effects of lower limb loading and coordination on muscle activation patterns after spinal cord injury. During this time, they also worked as a Research Associate, where they were involved in patient care, data collection, analysis, and presentation.
After their time at UCLA, Rita joined Takeda San Francisco as a Scientist in 2010. Rita later moved to Takeda California in 2012, where they served as a Senior Scientist until 2017. In 2017, they joined Vividion Therapeutics Inc. as a Senior Scientist, and over the years, they took on roles of increasing responsibility, including Principal Scientist, Associate Director - Biology, and currently holds the position of Director, Biology.
Rita Lukacs obtained their B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley from 1995 to 1999. Rita later pursued their PhD in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics at UCLA from 2004 to 2010.
