Bart Merckx is an experienced professional with a diverse background in healthcare and governance. Currently serving as a member of the board of directors and chairman of the general assembly at Vitaz since April 2013, Bart Merckx has also been a general practitioner at Medi-c since 1999 and operates a general practice since 2001. In addition, Bart Merckx has been a member of the municipal council for Stad Sint-Niklaas since January 2013. Bart Merckx earned a degree in medicine, specializing as a general practitioner, from KU Leuven between 1992 and 1999 and completed education at Sint-Jozef-Klein-Seminarie Sint-Niklaas from 1986 to 1992.
