Ole-Johan Ellingsen has a diverse work experience. Ole-Johan is the Founder and Chief Science Officer of VitalThings since May 2022 and had previously served as the Founder and CTO of the same company from July 2017 to May 2022. Before that, they were the Founder and CEO of Tekhnopia AS since January 2012. Additionally, they worked as a Technical Business Developer at NOVELDA from January 2013 to December 2018, where they focused on XeThru sensor technology. Ole-Johan also co-founded Devinco AS, where they held the role of CTO from July 2002 to November 2011.

Ole-Johan Ellingsen pursued their bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of South-Eastern Norway from 1996 to 1999. Following this, they enrolled at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and completed their Master of Science (MSc) in Engineering Cybernetics from 1999 to 2002.
