Anna Richards has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Legal Secretary at Bordeaux INSUP, where they worked for various legal bodies and offices, performing tasks such as note-taking, audio-typing, drafting letters and contracts, and conducting research. Anna also gained knowledge of the UK and France legal systems during this time.
Anna later worked as an Editorial Assistant at Cardiff University's European Documentation Centre, where they were responsible for updating, proofreading, editing, and occasionally translating EU documents.
Following that, Anna worked as a Chief Language Ambassador for Routes into Languages, where they served as a language ambassador for an extended period.
Anna then pursued freelance translation work, specializing in medical, legal, scientific, and marketing texts from French to English. Anna'sresponsibilities included using CAT tools, researching terminology and legislation changes, solving linguistic or technical problems, managing multiple translation projects, and maintaining effective time management.
Moving into the industry, Anna joined ICON plc as a Linguistic Validation Coordinator, responsible for coordinating, producing, and analyzing the quality of clinical translations for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries. Anna later became a Project Manager at ICON, where they led project kick-off meetings, monitored project team deliveries, trained and mentored new recruits, and contributed to process improvements.
Currently, Anna holds several roles at Vitaccess. Anna started as a Localisation Project Manager and then progressed to Localization Lead. In this role, they drive Localization Strategy, supporting the Vitaccess vision to give patients a voice in Real World Evidence studies. Anna provides direction and support to the localization, content, and dev teams, overseeing service offerings such as translation, linguistic validation, copy editing, and more. Lastly, Anna holds the position of Head of Commercial, responsible for leading commercial efforts and working with biopharma partners to deliver real-world, non-interventional studies powered by the Vitaccess Real platform.
