Dan Kerning has a long and distinguished career in the military and private sector. Dan began their professional career in 1986 as a Naval Flight Officer in the US Navy. In 1991, they joined the Defense Intelligence Agency as a JWICS Program Manager. In 1994, they moved to Nassau County where they served as a Network Analyst. In 1997, they became the CEO of Webhouse, Inc. In 2013, they founded and became the Chairman of CloudScann. In 2020, they became a Hofstra Veterans Venture Challenge Mentor. Finally, in 2022, they joined the board of Veterans Gaming and Mental Health Mission - 501(c)3, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting the Veteran suicide crisis.

Dan Kerning attended Chaminade High School from 1977 to 1981. Dan then went on to receive a BA in Mathematics from SUNY Oneonta from 1981 to 1985. Dan also holds a certification as a CVE & New York State Certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business SDVOSB.
