Brent Chaney is a seasoned professional in government affairs with extensive experience across various organizations and roles. Currently serving as Sr. Director of Government Affairs at Vistra Corp. since October 2016, Brent has also held the position of Director of Government Affairs at both Vistra Corp. and Energy Future Holdings from February 2011 to October 2016. Brent's career began in public policy and academia, with roles such as Senior Analyst in Public Policy and Teaching Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin, where Brent also earned a Master of Public Affairs and a JD from the respective schools.
