Ken Johnson is a scientist with extensive experience in drug discovery and vaccine research. Currently affiliated with Visterra Inc. since October 2014, Ken's work focuses on innovative scientific pursuits. Previously, from May 2001 to October 2014, Ken served as a Senior Scientist at AstraZeneca R&D, specializing in the development of broad-spectrum antibiotics and antivirals. Earlier experience includes a role as Senior Technician and Lab Manager at Brigham and Women’s Hospital - Harvard Medical School from September 1990 to May 2001, where Ken contributed to vaccine research against group B Streptococcus, mastering polysaccharide production and purification. Ken holds a Master of Education from UMass Boston and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Wesleyan University.
